Furthermore, he also believed that in recent years, the quality of agricultural products has been improved and the maket is also broader thanks to the application in producing system which follows VietGAP and GlobalGAP standard.  It can be seen that Vietnam’s agriculture has great potential among other countries in the region; based on the date from MARD, export turnover of agro-forestry-fishery products in 2016 reached US$35 billion and in the half year of 2017, exports of vegetables and fruits reached US$185 million.

These activities give farmers more information about the advances being made in agriculture.

Understanding the development orientation of the market, the present consumption trends are most in urban areas where people interested in buying clean and safe products.

As mentioned ablove, Mr. Nguyen Van Liem – Vice Director of DARD in Vinh Long province mentioned that successful application should connect to households into cooperatives, production groups or inter-provincial links to regions. All material and equipment have to meet the standards of the needs of each enterprise in order to develop high reputation branded products as well as export the agricultural products to bigger markets. Besides, Mr. Liem also claimed that mostfruits of Vinh Long province have been certified by VietGSp and some items such as sweet potatoes have been exported to China and Singapore; magoes are exported to Korea and delivery to the Middle East through a market fair. There are many businesses in Ho Chi Minh City are taking sample of fruits sent to Middle East, Australia, New Zealand to introduce Vietnamese orange.

Currently, Vinh Long fruits are mainly consumed domestically and foreign market remain modest due to low suppliers and small size pf production areas; therefore, it makes local producers can not meet the international standard which creates many disadvantges for Vietnam market.
